It is the mission of Stroke Family to accomplish three things:

1. Provide new innovative programs, tools and information to breakthrough even the most severe aphasia and apraxia.

2. Provide new ways to bring therapists and healthcare professionals and families together and

3. Provide information resources about new innovative approaches and treatments to improve the over-all quality of life for those recovering from brain trauma and stroke.

Let’s Talk! Explore over 120 words found in daily living in this online software or CD program. Practice with pictures and human voice sound. Works well with speech therapy, rehab or care center or at home. This multisensory program, many have said, “made the difference”. Comes with free miniguide. Free demo.

Stroke Family’s Whole Speech Practice Kit Author was able to get her “untreatable” global aphasic father to go from only 9 spoken words to over 700. She created an array of programs and materials to access speech in the other side of the brain. For families or SLPs. Includes the Let’s Talk program, tracing sheets, recovery guides, and card activity sets.

Lefty’s Tracing Sheets Tracing pictures help trigger speech. Provides motivation to retrain the alternate hand for writing in both printed letters and cursive. 26 key words, one for each basic phonic sound, plus “feelings”, “the five senses” and “opposites”.

Lefty’s Card Activities Three card sets include around 1000 of the most frequently spoken words in English. Games and activities help with word combining to make phrases, and 3 or 4 word sentences.
